You may have already seen some previously issued information regarding the Under 10's division, indicating that it would be run with all teams playing each other once before the division was split into two. Unfortunately, because of the number of teams involved this would not be practical. It would need mid week games at the start and end of the season, a very short break over Christmas and more importantly no games lost through bad weather or the use of "lives". This is also taking into account the two cup competitions at Under 10.

It has been decided therefore to split the Under 10 age group into two divisions from the start of the season, taking into account where possible performances from last season's Under 9 Division.

The split will be:

UNDER 10 EAGLES DIVISION

Redgate Black

Formby JSC White

Town Green Jaguars

Southport FCJ Yellow

Town Green Pumas

Birkdale Utd Falcons

Formby JSC Black

Southport FCJ Black

Burscough FCJ

UNDER 10 HAWKS DIVISION

Ormskirk FC

Southport Trinity Blue

Birkdale United Eagles

Ainsdale Juniors

Birkdale Utd Hawks

Southport Trinity White

Redgate Yellow

Hesketh Colts

Holbank

You will no doubt realise that te Eagles Division is expected to be the stronger of the two divisions.

Please note that where clubs have entered more than one team in this age group the team names referred to above are based on the names used by those clubs at Under 9 last season - if any teams have decided to change their name from last season please let me know as soon as possible. I would expect that there will be some players coming and going and a few changing teams within a club, but it has been assumed that the basis for the teams have remained the same and that wholesale changes such as a club's "A" team and "B" team have not exchanged names.

I understand that no Clubs at this stage have submitted their player registration forms, so please ensure that when players are registered that it is clear which team within the club they are registering for.
